That silly PageRank

Just when I thought I will be blogging for fun from next month onwards I get this change. I was always looking towards that page rank for a long while and didn’t check it for last 15 days. Today I saw many posts and bloggers talking about this. So I just checked my blogs rank. And guess what I got PR3. Just imagine PR3 for nonsense. I cannot stop laughing.

The frustrations of traffic were all around me through this month. But some comments from fellow bloggers changed my mind.I was going to make this announcement anyway. from next month onwards it’ll be blogging for fun. I’ve been trying to give professional touch to my blog by getting traffic, changing templates, the SEO things and all that stuff. Now most of the things stop here. Continue reading →

Kimmy is sharing light

I am totally lazy today. It hurts to wake up early on Sunday. I had to wake up early due to the nature’s call. Then it was time to watch some movies. I’ll write about that in tomorrow’s post. Today it’s the blog review time. This weeks featured blog is The Eagle,The Lion and The Dove by Kimmysharinglight. That is the name of blog. Pretty long but you’ll remember it.

I have to use the word “Just”. This is just another blog which I am lucky to get to read. The “Just” is because I am getting good blogs to read now a days. I really liked this blog and will continue reading. As I mentioned in my earlier reviews that the pictures used in post spice up the post. Here is another good example of that. Author has used a picture in almost every post and it suits it.

Things I liked is the blog archive is good. But as most of the bloggers do, it is somewhere in the middle of the page. That is totally waste. Another thing I liked is the style of writing. It’s the new trend of blogs where author’s writes just enough. Similar to my type of writings. Who has patience to read long post?? Many even try to skim the post I write. That Grrl is crazy

What should be this weeks blog?? That was the question for this week. The reason was not because I don’t have anything to feature, but because I get to read some good blogs and it becomes hard to pick which one is first. So I go the gentleman’s way. Ladies first. 🙂 This weeks blog is by a lady author who is over 40 years of age. She’s a grrl by the way. This is another blog which I could read just because of entrecard. I got the link from there.

Let’s start with the review. This blog is very simple. Many things here are kept simple and these add to the plus of the blog. In spite of reading some new entries and also some from achieve I was not able to get the theme of the blog. That doesn’t go in minus points. If you write good there is no need for some kind of theme. You can write randomly about anything you want. I started reading that way then

The problem was there. The writings are very short. There is hardly anything expressed. While reading every entry I was searching for a link that would say like “Read the rest of the entry” or “Continue Reading”. That is because the complete post looks like a synopsis. That hurts when you are looking forward for a blog to read about. There is a lot need to be improved on writing side. Just like what I need to do. 😛 This is another blog where pictures are used within posts. Just use is not going to do anything it should be appropriate. Author succeeds here. That is a plus. The Øblog

And here comes the Sunday with another review of a blog. The blog I am talking about is The Øblog. It has a different name and I am still unaware of the meaning of the title. To the best of my knowledge the symbol resembles to a mathematical symbol which is normally used to represent the diameter of a circle. I usually don’t forget things related to maths as I was known to be good at maths. Well.. They say 😉

The author of the blog is Øyvind. And that is another unusual name. After searching a bit I found that that’s a symbol in Danish, Faeroese and Norwegian languages. The domain name suggests where he is from. I checked the about page for some details about the author. Now how old is that guy?? :whistle: Continue reading →

Tuesday Review 01

Now it’s time for the best posts I read in the last week. As I mentioned earlier time is not a barrier for the content. Think that I am a bit late to read on those blogs. Two of my themes are similar in nature. The Sunday Review and Tuesday Readings. I may also include a post from the reviewed blog if I liked the post. Reason for these two themes is to promote blogs. So mostly the featured blogs may not have rank or may not be popular. But they are included here for the content I liked. I am already spoiling my page rank by linking to low pagerank sites. But it doesn’t matter to me. The lines above are for this post only. The next Tuesday review I’ll not repeat those.

The first post I liked is from my reviewed blog. 40 Days and 40 Nights is pretty good post to read. The author Prateek tried to create humor from very simple things in our daily life. And it’s really good. He is quiet successful in his attempt. I am yet to watch the movie so cannot compare with that. Don’t quit or skip reading because of the length of the post.
