Almost a year back, I wrote a post on the same topic. At that time I thought I had written all that’s on my mind about humans being robot and there is nothing much left to write on the same topic. What I wasn’t aware that the thought process never stops. It keeps running in background unaware to you, gathering and processing new information which results in new ideas or adds an extra bogey to the train of thoughts.
Beginning of this year, I came across Themis trilogy which deals in an alien robot buried deep inside Earth with it’s parts scattered all over the globe. This made me think, what if this is true? What if there are alien robot hibernating deep inside Earth? What if they are waiting for some trigger or a signal from far far world to activate and unleash the fury? Fascinating and horrendous at the same time.
The robot mentioned in the trilogy are humongous requiring assistance from aliens or humans to activate and operate. The technology used in robot was meant to be activated by the aliens only but somehow, human minds manage to decipher and activate the robot with human authentication. The author has put the most logical idea upon it’s activation. That was it’s usage for military or combat purpose. What should have been studied for the benefit of humanity is being used to conquer and bully nations.
When I think about it, this is going to happen in near future. Technology has evolved so much that there is raw processing power available in compact and portable size which can process instructions as close as human brain. The artificial intelligence takes a leap every few years. Fortunately, due to power and greed of corporate world, right now it is being mostly used to know more about consumers. But that day is not far when they will be used in warfare as standalone soldiers.
Do you think technology is moving in right direction? Who is going to benefit more from it? The common human being or those hungry for power and money?
Till you figure out the answer..
Sometimes, I see through a person.
I see how broken they are.
I want to pat on their back and say nothing.
But I cannot..
Because that person is a stranger.
And I don’t know how that person will react to my touch.
I wish I could do that.
I wish I could..
Because I know how it feels like..
To be broken and no one to feel you..
To be broken and someone embracing you…
A couple of weeks back, I was watching Ancient Aliens on History 18. The topic of discussion was that the aliens may have sent robots from time to time across various regions of the planet to gather information and send it back to their home planet. What type of information they might have sent wasn’t discussed. While watching that episode a weird thought crossed my mind. What if we are the robots these aliens planted on this planet? Does that make sense?
When the show was over, I started thinking about the idea. If we look at ourselves as a machine, what I said makes sense to a great extent. Although we have unlocked much of the secrets of our body, The biggest secrets are yet to be revealed. The biggest puzzle of the human body is the brain. A lump of flesh floating in a liquid that controls each and every muscle of the body. It’s quite fascinating.
Now… When I look at my body as a machine, I find that many of the parts are replaceable. Eyes, Heart, Liver, Kidney etc. Tremendous amount of resources have been allocated towards the research of human body. Just like the organs, even external parts like, limbs can be replaced. Though they don’t function a hundred percent like the original, they make your life almost normal. I have no doubt that we would be able to see robotic limbs which function like a the flesh counterpart in near future. The android era, just like the the mobile OS, is closer than we think.
Apart from brain, my fascination is towards the disease which infect the human body. These viruses and bacteria which cause those diseases are micro organisms. One requires microscope to see them. So tiny organisms which keep on evolving and infecting this human machine. This doesn’t stop here. Human body has it’s own anti-virus software which is called immune system. Even this keeps evolving. Most of the times, this anti-virus software wins and keeps the machine clean from the viruses, bacteria and malware. But when it cannot, the machine fails to function properly. External updates in form of medicines can help the body recover. When, even these updates cannot stop the infection, it leads to the death of the machine. What happens after the death is a mystery which hasn’t been solved yet. Maybe all the data from brain is transferred to some centralized unit for processing and helping to make a better machine.
The free will given to the brain makes it possible to think new ideas and their implementation. These ideas lead to the progress of this machines. Where these ideas come from? Are they already programmed into us? Is there some event that riggers these ideas at specific times? These are some more mysteries which will remain unsolved till the death.
Enjoy this machine form as long as you can. Stay fit. Do good to you and those around you.
And Think Nonsense…
WHY GOD WHY? WHY DID YOU TAKE AWAY THE TAIL?
Was it the God or was it the Evolution that took away the tail? If you believe in God, then it is God. Otherwise it’s Charles Darwin. This guy blamed everything on evolution. Surprisingly, much of the world agrees with the theory of evolution. I am skeptical about the theory. Sometimes it makes sense and sometimes it doesn’t.
Lately, I have stopped believing that Man evolved from apes. I don’t think it’s evolutionary process. I am no scientist and hence I may not be true and may not be able to give proper explanation. But think about it. If Man evolved from apes then why all apes haven’t evolved? Or why aren’t they evolving? They should have evolved to make houses or weapons at least. But they still fight with bare hands. I don’t think they would evolve to dress. I mean, Being naked is very comfortable. Why to lose the comfort? Also, it would be difficult to accommodate the tail.
After watching Rise of Planet of the Apes and Dawn of Planet of the apes (This one is gem of a movie), Things makes much more sense. It was a virus. We were infected by a virus which made us what we are. That virus enhanced our brain, Weakened our body and took our tail. That virus also injected feelings which are useless chemical reactions and they are the by-product of the evolution.
Let’s keep emotions aside. Think about the tails. What I would have done with my tail?
1) I would have used it to nudge
2) I would have invented new dance moves involving my tail
3) I would have designed my own app named “Tell a tail”
4) I would have used it to kill mosquitoes, flies and boredom
5) As a whip to be used on pets etc. etc..
6) I would have deleted the word tailender.
This is a short list. Let’s limit it to this as some of the rest are naughty ones.
What would you have done with your tail?
Think about it..
Pain is generally an unpleasant emotion. A spontaneous response from body to something it doesn’t want to keep inside. It is an alarm to some threat that is being caused to damage us. Starting with the first moment outside the womb, This one emotion always stays with you till the end of your life. Sometimes, It is a supplementary reaction to another emotion. Like when you laugh too much, You feel the pain in your stomach or cheeks.
When I was a kid, little things used to cause pain. The obvious reaction to pain was the crying. This is often the case with everyone. Because that is the period of your life when you don’t know how to handle the pain. You aren’t used to it. As you age, you learn to suppress your pain. The intensity of which varies from person to person.
There is one important fact that lies behind the pain. Many of us, either aren’t aware of the fact or they ignore it. I found it the hard way. That fact is… Pain is what because of which you feel you are alive. How else would you find out that you are alive? Pinch a dead person and it won’t react. Pinch a live person, There will be some reaction to it. That’s what makes pain special. Pain makes you feel you are alive. That you exists.
Over the years, As I said before, I have learned to suppress pain. That’s normal until a couple of days back.. I felt terrible. I questioned my existence. It was a small incident. I went to a hospital to get an injection. The syringe always gives you pain. That was my experience. But that day, I couldn’t feel anything. I was confused. Shocked. It happened again today when I didn’t feel anything after the injection. Am I dead? This question crossed my mind a thousand times. I couldn’t answer. I just tried to fool myself by telling that the nurses are good. They must have been trained well. What could have been other reason?
Still, At the time of writing this I am expecting pain. I want some pain. Pain to make feel I am alive.
I am not dead… Yet..
Also, I am not a Ghost Writer…
So until I feel some pain..
