Film Festival Week

The whole week was pretty fun. I got lots of time in this week. i utilized almost all of it to watch the films I had on my HDD for a month or two. Also it included some new films also. I don’t want to review all of them and convert my blog into film review blog. It’s better to keep more nonsense here. So I’ll just write synopsis and what I liked in the films I saw. Will be in brief. I am not a film critic paid to write a long review.

Michael Clayton : It is a different film altogether. A film focused on life of lawyer is worth watching. There are real tragedies that happen in life of a good lawyer. If they are put together in a good manner then it creates a really good story. This was one of the story. Though it is kind of thriller it doesn’t have the speed. That is one of the minus point. Dialogs are good and our hero acted good. I’ll rate it 8/10.
What Happens In Vegas: Cameron Diaz film. All I expect is her to act as aimless, doesn’t care of the world, a menace kind of girl. I was right. She is actually in her real life also. So it was not acting but herself on the screen. It looked perfect role for her. I cannot say a good movie also. There are times when you start yawning while watching. There are some emotional moments which lift up the film. Especially towards the end. I’ll rate it 6/10.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na : Hyped.. That was the first word when I saw the movie. There is nothing new in the movie other than the cast. Only one song I liked and that was obviously Kabhi kabhi…The other highlight was Pappu can’t dance. Comapred with the “Papa Kehate hain”. No comparison at all. Genelia has repeated such roles in many films. Watch Boys, Bommarilliu, Sanotsh Subramanium and you’ll come to know. So there was nothing new to her. Imran did good for a newbie. But still need to learn acting and dancing too. The two other khan brother look pretty odd in their roles. But make you giggle. I’ll rate this 6.5/10. Continue reading →

Lovestory 2050 – Is it so rubbish??

While sleeping on bed I had nothing much to do other than sleeping. To kill time I was tracking the path of the mosquitoes and trying to visualize the curves. Then I put these examples in my twelfth  class(In my dreams) to equation with the help of integrals. I have lost my dominance over integration and limits after my college. It seems there is no way back.

This movie Lovestory 2050 was lying for some days on my hard disk. I was hesitating to watch this due to many reviews and negative comments. But I have to. C’mon it’s got Priyanka. So I started and soon realized why this received so much booos(it’s “s” and not “z”).  Because there is a pet robot named boo in this film. I thought I’ll get my headache back and my fever will start again. I managed till the half. Then it was a bit easy.

I liked the plot of the story. But the screenplay is total mess. It is too much stretched with unnecessary events in the start. Most of you will get bored up during this time. I was about to but there was presence of Priyanka which was eye soothing. What else can make you resist the nuisance of screenplay? Our hero Harman does dance well. But fails in dialog delivery. Superhero Movies that rocked

It’s two months since the release of The Dark Knight. I was really eager to watch the film and just today I competed downloading it’s screener. It was pain as no one was seeding the torrent. I’ll keep that apart. I want to talk about the movie. It is much talked movie and now it’s my turn.

So it is Sunday. I wake up late and I am in fool mood of watching films. Add to it it was my mothers birthday according to Indian calender. She likes to celebrate it according to that. So it was four of us who enjoyed the birthday. On this occasion this dumbass just wishes to give her some more happy moments and she never have to take the smile of her face. I got to eat chocolate cake for this. 🙂 This was at night.

Kimmy is sharing light

I am totally lazy today. It hurts to wake up early on Sunday. I had to wake up early due to the nature’s call. Then it was time to watch some movies. I’ll write about that in tomorrow’s post. Today it’s the blog review time. This weeks featured blog is The Eagle,The Lion and The Dove by Kimmysharinglight. That is the name of blog. Pretty long but you’ll remember it.

I have to use the word “Just”. This is just another blog which I am lucky to get to read. The “Just” is because I am getting good blogs to read now a days. I really liked this blog and will continue reading. As I mentioned in my earlier reviews that the pictures used in post spice up the post. Here is another good example of that. Author has used a picture in almost every post and it suits it.

Things I liked is the blog archive is good. But as most of the bloggers do, it is somewhere in the middle of the page. That is totally waste. Another thing I liked is the style of writing. It’s the new trend of blogs where author’s writes just enough. Similar to my type of writings. Who has patience to read long post?? Many even try to skim the post I write. One more plus is the use of sezwho. You get to know what peoples like by the ratings they give. Continue reading →

Womanist Musings

There are times when you get closer to the reality it hurts. Very few tend to write on the real things and express it in a way that will leave a place somewhere. I like to read such writings and believe me they are getting very rare. Most of the times writer tend to write on fantasies and own creations. That is because it sells faster. Believe me that a good writer will try to write something on reality. This blog is something about such thing.

Womanist Musings is one of the blogs which goes towards the reality and tries to bring out some issues which were never in focus. When I first hit this blog i thought it’ll be just another political blog expressing blah blah about democrats and republican parties. When I started reading carefully and peeking through archive gave me an idea of how good the blog is.

Everyday stories with a different perspective are common but these are not just everyday stories. As the name suggests most of the stories are related to woman. I am confused though that the blog name is due to the above reason or because they are being written by a woman. Almost every story will strike you. If you re a good reader then you’ll be back.
