The Human Robot

A couple of weeks back, I was watching Ancient Aliens on History 18. The topic of discussion was that the aliens may have sent robots from time to time across various regions of the planet to gather information and send it back to their home planet. What type of information they might have sent wasn’t discussed. While watching that episode a weird thought crossed my mind. What if we are the robots these aliens planted on this planet? Does that make sense?

When the show was over, I started thinking about the idea. If we look at ourselves as a machine, what I said makes sense to a great extent. Although we have unlocked much of the secrets of our body, The biggest secrets are yet to be revealed. The biggest puzzle of the human body is the brain. A lump of flesh floating in a liquid that controls each and every muscle of the body. It’s quite fascinating.

Now… When I look at my body as a machine, I find that many of the parts are replaceable. Eyes, Heart, Liver, Kidney etc. Tremendous amount of resources have been allocated towards the research of human body. Just like the organs, even external parts like, limbs can be replaced. Though they don’t function a hundred percent like the original, they make your life almost normal. I have no doubt that we would be able to see robotic limbs which function like a the flesh counterpart in near future. The android era, just like the the mobile OS, is closer than we think.

Apart from brain, my fascination is towards the disease which infect the human body. These viruses and bacteria which cause those diseases are micro organisms. One requires microscope to see them. So tiny organisms which keep on evolving and infecting this human machine. This doesn’t stop here. Human body has it’s own anti-virus software which is called immune system. Even this keeps evolving. Most of the times, this anti-virus software wins and keeps the machine clean from the viruses, bacteria and malware. But when it cannot, the machine fails to function properly. External updates in form of medicines can help the body recover. When, even these updates cannot stop the infection, it leads to the death of the machine. What happens after the death is a mystery which hasn’t been solved yet. Maybe all the data from brain is transferred to some centralized unit for processing and helping to make a better machine.

The free will given to the brain makes it possible to think new ideas and their implementation. These ideas lead to the progress of this machines. Where these ideas come from? Are they already programmed into us? Is there some event that riggers these ideas at specific times? These are some more mysteries which will remain unsolved till the death.

Enjoy this machine form as long as you can. Stay fit. Do good to you and those around you.

Evolution and Other Tails

WHY GOD WHY? WHY DID YOU TAKE AWAY THE TAIL?

Was it the God or was it the Evolution that took away the tail? If you believe in God, then it is God. Otherwise it’s Charles Darwin. This guy blamed everything on evolution. Surprisingly, much of the world agrees with the theory of evolution. I am skeptical about the theory. Sometimes it makes sense and sometimes it doesn’t.

Lately, I have stopped believing that Man evolved from apes. I don’t think it’s evolutionary process. I am no scientist and hence I may not be true and may not be able to give proper explanation. But think about it. If Man evolved from apes then why all apes haven’t evolved? Or why aren’t they evolving? They should have evolved to make houses or weapons at least. But they still fight with bare hands. I don’t think they would evolve to dress. I mean, Being naked is very comfortable. Why to lose the comfort? Also, it would be difficult to accommodate the tail.

After watching Rise of Planet of the Apes and Dawn of Planet of the apes (This one is gem of a movie), Things makes much more sense. It was a virus. We were infected by a virus which made us what we are. That virus enhanced our brain, Weakened our body and took our tail. That virus also injected feelings which are useless chemical reactions and they are the by-product of the evolution.

Let’s keep emotions aside. Think about the tails. What I would have done with my tail?
1) I would have used it to nudge
2) I would have invented new dance moves involving my tail
3) I would have designed my own app named “Tell a tail”
4) I would have used it to kill mosquitoes, flies and boredom
5) As a whip to be used on pets etc. etc..
6) I would have deleted the word tailender.

This is a short list. Let’s limit it to this as some of the rest are naughty ones.

What would you have done with your tail?

Think about it..
Till then…
Think Nonsense…

Important Notice!!!

I am sorry to share this mail a bit late. I hope the disease didn’t spread much. Please read carefully with full attention and pass it on.

The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weary Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues, or anyone else via any means whatsoever – DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest grocery store and purchase one or both of the antidotes – Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Mindless Zombies

“If you can’t change your mind, are you sure you have one?”

Ask this question to yourself. There are many mindless zombies around you. that’s according to the above thought. It’s very difficult to change your mind. But there are some gifted persons (like me :D), whose mind keeps on changing. It’s volatile. According to me you must posses a mind that changes.

The thoughts of yesterday are gone. you cannot implement them today. Change your mind and go according to new thoughts. There are situations when you have to take decisions against your mind. But that is a good sign. at least you are changing your mind. never mind if you are going against it.

My thoughts keep changing but still I call myself a mindless zombie. Many times i don’t know what I am doing. It just happens from me. Just like those Hollywood horror flicks where virus infection takes place and peoples turn into zombies. I’m infected. Better stay away from me. It spreads quickly.

Now who is the scientist here who’ll come to rescue from the disease?? Still unknown. It’ll not be a zombie though. I hope to control the flow of thoughts, But it’s seems to be very difficult. Not impossible though.

I Am Legend

I Am Legend

Today I watched this movie . There are hardly any dialogs in this movie. But still this movie is good to watch. I Am Legend released almost 2 months ago created a lot of hype on internet due to its high quality DVD Screener copy which was released just in 2 weeks after the release. This is too quick. And the quality of that screener was very good.

Somehow I find many movies that go with similar topics. The likes are 28 Days later, 28 Weeks later, Residental Evil, they are somewhat similar. A deadly virus spreads across the world due to a failed experiment and all fail to prevent it from spreading. Then the survivors try to find a way out of this. In this film Robert Neville(Will Smith) is the only survivor with a dog. And its been 3 years since he his alone survivor. There is No villain and heroin, So all film revolves around Will and the dog. There is this scene where the dog gets infected with virus. I thought that its the best scene in the movie.
