Tuesday Readings 02

Here I am again with some of the best posts I read in last week. The first one is Matrick Pass Donkey. I don’t have to tell you guys that I love the humor touch given to blog posts. This post is another example. The author tells us about his experience of passing Matrick. How he had a crush on teacher when he was six  , The various types of roles he use to play, Practicals of Newtons third law. He also mentions the teachers he liked (and didn’t liked) which  I really liked. Hardly anyone mentions teachers. Now I got a post coming on this.

Next post is the second part of a featured post in my last Tuesday readings. This is The Secrets of Developing Creative Thinking Skills : Part 2. I knew that second part will be good. I was right. Post starts with a quote by George Bernard shaw and that itself is sufficient for you to go on with the reading. Very nicely chosen quote with good use of links. Author also tells us very simple things to develop thinking skills. To be frank out of the five things he mentioned I already follow the first four. Seriously I write on any paper and keep any piece of paper with something to read on. I can’t follow the last part as it’s difficult to get such people. I got one friend recently with whom I am sharing my thoughts and he is doing the same. Continue reading →

Buying an Elephant

While watching Discovery I thought of buying an Elephant. I’ve been always fascinated by elephants. And Lord Ganesh the “Elephant God”. The huge size they posses is just pleasure to watch. But I don’t like watching animals in zoo. They are at their best in wild. And so do the elephants.
Back to the topic. I was watching this documentary on elephants “Wildlife Special – Elephants”. A very nice documentary and liked it. Elephants posses some great qualities and somehow they resemble human beings. They have a huge families. If there is danger signs are passed from on group to another group. And these signals travels kilometers.
The fact that I liked was the amount of food they eat. They eat 150Kgs per day. And the next thought made me buy the elephant. With the amount of food they eat they pass gas. And that whole lot of gas. It’s 2000 liters per day.

This is methane gas. This much amount can burn for almost 10 hours. Enough to cook my food, Boil water. The increasing price of oil and gas leads me to this alternative. For my needs I’ll require only 2-3 hours of that. So you can take the rest of it. Recently 3-4 days back gas price was hiked by Rs. 50. Thats a bit too high. We have to search for an alternate.
This gives you another reason to save elephants. Save elephants and save money.

Think Nonsense…
