Getting Serious

This is one of the things I am trying to achieve.(Stress on the word achieve). You need to get serious in your life in order to succeed. These are the words of my parents and respectable elders. This holds true all around the world. Nice to know about the things binding the whole world as one or the common things which I am unaware of.

I have changed drastically in last 2-3 years. I was North pole before that and now I have become South pole. It is the same me but there is a widened curve on my face. Most of us call it smile. This smile is now a trouble to me. Now start laughing at me. Seriously.. Seriously… Nobody takes me seriously. I was enjoying this for all the time because of getting new friends. But now I want to be serious.

Whenever, Wherever (Nice song by Shakira. One of my favorites. She is awesome in shaking her …..) I go there is a burst of laughter. Everybody who knows me gives me a smile and greets me. Actually that is how you greet someone. But this smile is a bit different. It is for the person who brings smile on their face. It’s actually not for me as a whole person. It’s just for a part of me.

Many time it has happened that I used the sentence, “No I am not kidding. I am serious.” and there has been laughter after mimicking my sentence. At times it was pretty embarrassing also. The easy to go nature gets me pass through the situation. Otherwise frequently repeating scenes like these would have put me in deep psychological trouble. I would have lost my mental balance. (You think I have lost it??)

Is it necessary to be serious in your life to get success?? Isn’t it possible with an always smiling face? I wonder how the famous humor writers, stand up comedians or simply comedians get serious in their life. He is serious about humor. Isn’t that ironical?

Till I get serious…

To smile or to cry
To be happy or to make someone happy
To love all or to hate all
To fight or be peaceful
To help someone or to run away when someone needs you
To have “Job” written in bold or “Family”
To be truthful or to be liar
To make friends or to break friends
To die or to live…

Life without a price tag

The world today revolves around some shit of paper called money. Everything, well almost everything, can be bought with money.  Some say emotions cannot be sold. But what about the ones we watch in movies? They are emotions. They reflect on us. We laugh, we cry, we are happy, we are sad when we watch movies.  So in a sense emotions also have a price tag.

Money isn't everything

So what will happen to this world without money? Just imagine the world without money. While picturizing this you may get horrible pictures if you are a businessman or a banker. On the other side, one who is poor will be happy. There is no money and he doesn’t have to worry about money now. But will the life without money really remove poverty? That’s a question I cannot answer. Continue reading →

I hate growing up…

rent,taxes,grow-up

That is the bitter truth. All kids want to grow up fast and act like elders. But when we grow up, we want to be like kids. Again. We cannot rollback to kid stage but we express ourselves like above. The human nature defined clearly. We are never satisfied with what we have and always want more, irrespective of our age.

Anyone fully satisfied and don’t want anything else in his life?

Till I find that person…

Dasvidaniya – Ten things I wish to do

I saw this film Dasvidaniya. That was a week ago. I cried. I cried many times during the film. Thank god there was no one at home. I was alone. Otherwise it would have been an embarrassing situation for me. In this society there is no room for men to cry. There are rooms for all other things including smoking room but not for crying. I am going to watch this again in an hour or so with my family. I better search for black glasses.

I don’t want to review this film. I can tell you though it’s a must watch. This year has been the best year of my life in terms of watching good films.  This is the third film I cried in the single year. Earlier it was just one movie way back in 2004. I’ll write a post regarding this separately. I have to fill this blog one or the other way.

So it’s been a week I watched this movie. But I am writing now. That’s because of this post by L. V. Subramaniam in short LVS. Nicely written post which connects the last wish in the movie with the martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. And I was also thinking of writing my ten wishes till I say goodbye to all. You can laugh if you feel so. Continue reading →
