Nonsense Revamped

After a lot of thinking (???) I made a list of changes for my blog. These changes are due to very less time I am getting online. I need some sleep. Currently I sleep around 1-1:30 am. I hardly get six hours of sleep which is necessary for anyone. In order to make my life easy and continue blogging journey I decided these changes. This is to achieve 30 readable posts per month. So here are the changes.

1) Sunday Review: I read a lot of blogs. Some are good, some are bad and some are ugly. I want to review them. Bad and ugly blogs need to be improved or else find a place in bin. I don’t expect backlinks or blogroll links or any mention for this. If they feel it’s necessary then I’ll be happy. I expect all my criticism if any to be taken in positive manner. I want blogs to improve including my blog.  If you don’t take it positive then you know what happens when positive meets negative. A short circuit.

2) Tuesday Readings: These are the posts I liked. It is not necessary that all blogs have all good posts. But I feel every blog contains at least one good post. And I’ll just try to pick that out. Don’t ever check the date and time of the post. The post may be a day old or a week or a year. Maybe more than that. I’ll post what I liked and read in past week or so. Continue reading →

Changes to be made

After buying this domain now I want to make this blog get more visits. It’s now easy to remember url. So that problem is solved. Now the thing just stops around the content. Bloggers all around face a bitter truth after sometime. If you are a blogger then you may probably have faced it already. It’s my time to face it. I never expected this to be so soon.

When you start blogging about something, you have good amount of ideas to start with. You have plenty of topics. And it is one of the easiest part of the blog. Yes it is easy to start posting. Then you start writing more and more. It keeps on increasing. You get addicted to blogging and cannot stay away from blogging.

Soon you realize that you have reached a saturation point. At this point it becomes difficult to think about something and write it. Many times you don’t get topics. I am trying to find my way out and will surely post about this in my coming posts. When you don’t have any topics what will you write?? You cannot just do the copy paste stuff and loose the reputation gained. You have to write and you are out of ideas. Continue reading →

More Changes

Last week I made some changes to my blog. They were minor changes. But I had some good changes in my mind that time. Unfortunately I could not implement them as I fell sick. Was not in a position even to stand forget the changes. Yesterday I felt better and today I’m almost fine. A little bit of cough still persists. So I decided to make some changes.

First thing was to have a Favorite icon. As you can see now my blog looks different in all those tabs. You can easily identify my page due to that small image. The “G” images. What does “G” stands for?? Well “G” stands for Genius. 😀 It’s my Initial letter. There are many fancy things also. But I thought of this simple icon.

Secondly some CSS changes. Now the links in my posts appear in clear red. Earlier it was difficult to find which text is link. But now it’s clearly visible. Also the text at the bottom of page is changed. Earlier it was “Next Page and Previous Page” now it’s “Older Posts and Newer posts”. Sensible??? Continue reading →

Minor changes in blog

I made some changes in my blog. They are minor or negligible but thought of writing about that. I removed the “Recent Posts” lists. Somehow I found that it didn’t made any sense putting there. (Oh….. When did I start thinking sensible??). The front page loads with five entries and “Recent Posts” with eight entries. I could have changed the number of entries but I thought it’ll make sidebar looooooooooong. This means now you have to click at bottom for previous entries. Till date I never noticed it’s written as “Next Page”. But that’s ok. I’ll change that.

The second thing was to show the number of posts along the category name. That will show how active(????) I’m in particular category. I need to improvise on “Free Web Hosts and Windows Tips and tricks”. The “Marathi\Hindi” category I’m stopping completely. I made a separate blog for that. But I’ll retain those posts here. The change will remind me where I’ve to post more. Yeah I forget that sometimes.

The third change was introduction of archives. The “Nonsense Archive”. That will show How much I post every month. So far so good. I’m able to post 30 posts per month. Thats a good sign. Moreover I may get some hits due to the size of archive. Many times when you see the archive contains good number of posts you start reading posts with a bit of interest. At least i do that.

Now have to wait and watch the results.
