The language of music

It’s been days since I am thinking of posting about music. Today I got right time when one of my favorite movie score won Oscars. Yup, The Slumdog Millionaire. The passion for music made me write this post. My collection of music is growing and growing and growing. There is no restriction of language when it comes to music. I listen to music in many languages and it is a global language. Language is not a barrier for a music buff. Though Hindi, Marathi and English makes most of my music, I do listen to Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Konkani music. Not all of it I understand but still it leaves effect on me. If the song is sad song without knowing the meaning of a single word the feeling comes to me. If the song is romantic then it leaves that effect. This is the beauty of music. It is not just me, ask any true music lover. You’ll get a similar reply.

For the past few month I’ve lost my interest in music. The reason is the quality of music. Now a days it is very difficult to find a good combination of lyrics and music which together forms music. And if at all a song has good music it fails on lyrics side. It hurts when you find lyrics killing a song. I don’t want to give examples here. The current hot genre is the Rap music. It sounds good in some tracks but otherwise it is not at all good on ears. This is my opinion. You may be one of the greatest rap follower or rap fan. But not me. A good lyrics also helps a song to get popular.

My passion for music started when I entered the college. Within a year I became an avid Rock fan. I used to listen to a lot of variety from Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Nirvana, Sepulatara, and some other selected tracks from various composers. It all started with “Wherever I may roam” by Metallica. “In the end” remains my favorite rock track. The lines “I tried so hard and got so far, In the end it doesn’t even matter” pictured my life at that stage. (Yeah you guessed it right. The Back papers..:P).During that stage I got my favorite track “Stuck in a moment” by U2 and another one “Walking Away” by Craig David. I get goosebumps when I recall those moments and but feel proud I got out of those successfully. Music played a big role in that. Music has the soothing effect which can heal many wounds not cured by any medicine.

To make this post the longest post so far in my blog, I am adding a list of my favorites track.
Hindi:
1) Zindagi Ke Safar Mein – Kishore Kumar
2) Aanewala Pal – Kishore Kumar
3) Main Zindagi Ka Sath – Mohd. rafi
4) Chukar Mere Man Ko – Kishore Kumar
5) Tere Bin Jeena Nahi – Bali Brahmabhatt

English:
1) Stuck In A Moment – U2
2) In The End – Linkin Park
3) Walking Away – Craig david
4) Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love – George Benson
5) Be With you – Enrique Iglesias

It’s difficult to control that list and I somehow did that. Yeah I am great. It is indeed difficult to choose when you have zillions of songs. There are many more which I love to listen. I cannot list all of them here. Keep listening to music. I hope you were doing the same while reading this…

It’s soon enough

Hellowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…..
I feel like spamming with this message. I am back online after six days. Six days without internet. Imagine I didn’t switched on my PC for a whole day. I can now say that’s possible. So whenever you think something is impossible, then go offline. Things become possible in real life.

Out of the six days, I must say I wasted two days in configuring one of my script offline on WAMP. I haven’t figured out how to make changes yet. After two days of wasting I thought better use these days for some reading. I started reading a book which I bought from library and finished fifty pages in two hours. Conclusion.. I have not forgot how to read books.

Then internet became irresistible and I logged in from my office PC. Yesterdays post was from that PC. I don’t like to use it as it contains lot’s of spywares. I am very evil. Why should I repair it for free? I have to change password for my blog now.

The “Very soon” was really “Very soon”. I am online within a day.
“Kisi cheez ko agar dil se chaho to puri kayanat tumhein usase milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai”.
I’ll translate it.
“If you have a strong desire for something then the whole world tries to get you closer to it.”

Till you desire for desire…
Think Nonsense…

I am not dead

This post is just to inform you that I am not dead. I don’t think ghosts can write a message on blogs. It is just my internet connection which is keeping me away from blogging. I’ll be back soon, very soon with your daily dose of nonsense.

Till then…

The bond of love

The bond of love

This is just another kind of love. Today valentines day is celebrated throughout the world. 99% of that is just to express love for boyfriend or girlfriend. Don’t forget to express your love towards your close ones, who have been with you more than anyone else.

Repeating again this year also. Don’t wait for valentines day to express your love. Say it the moment you realize it.

Spread love…

My Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic

I was waiting for this phone for last four months. Finally I bought it on Saturday. Now that I used it for three days, I can write a review. My earlier phone N72 was great. I miss that phone. I exchanged it for this mobile. Though this mobile is much better than N72, I still miss that phone. May be the moments I captured with that phone are priceless. Lets not drift to this. This review is my frank opinion as an owner and end user. I am not paid for this review at all.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

I opened the box and there was the beauty. The back cover is not as good as other Nokia mobiles. It’s difficult to remove and insert the battery. At least for the first time. Sliding cover would have been great. When I switched it on, It started fast. Faster than other Nokia mobiles with 1GB+ memory card. There are only three buttons on front. Receive, Reject and the white one for menu. No more buttons on front. Coool…

The next step was to insert SIM and memory card. Both can be inserted easily via slots provided on side. One thing I didn’t understood. Why there was need to provide a side slot for SIM?? This Sim cannot be removed without opening the back cover. So whats the use of the side slot? It’s better and safe within the mobile. About the memory card, It’s 8GB. More than sufficient for me. It already comes loaded with Hindi and English soundtracks. A special album “Connections” by A.R.Rehman composed just for this phone. But not a good one. Other songs provided are really good. About 200+ tracks. Continue reading →
