Where is me?

Few days back I wrote a post. I thought it’s a bit incomplete. Today I met a person who made me feel that it’s incomplete. Time flies very fast. Especially when you are young. You don’t know when you cross your twenties and step into thirties and then forties. I am dragging this topic just because I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience as I had.

The working robot continues. It’s like you don’t have any options. You are bound to some relations which depend on you. Most work selflessly for others. I salute to them. But a time comes in your life when you have lots of time. Then you start asking some stupid questions to yourself. One of them is, What have I done for myself?

I worked hard. I gave all facilities to my children’s like a good parent. Did everything to keep them and all my family happy. During this I forgot myself. It’s not just my age which results in memory loss. Forgetting myself is not due to memory loss. I am trying to find a memory where I did something for myself. Which I wanted. There was no family involved. There was just me and that moment. My aged, weak memory doesn’t find one.

Talking with a person who have experienced life can be great. You just don’t add years to your professional experience. Personal experience counts more. I am glad I got some more. If you are a bachelor or single then just don’t run after finding job. Don’t just waste your life. Take some time out and enjoy yourself. If you are on a job, then take a leave just for you and no one else. Just a single day of you, for you. You’ll remember it forever. You’ll never ask yourself…

Where is me???

Reading – An exercise for your brain

Reading is an exercise. It’s like a work out for your brain. We are humans and we give much value to what we look like. So we exercise to get some muscle, six packs, eight packs and all that stuff. In the process we forget the thing which drives whole body. You know it, but you don’t give a damn. I don’t want to look like a geek or someone call me bookish.

Right from our childhood, we hate books. They are big turn offs. when you are out of the studies, you realize the importance of books. You wish you read at least you syllabus books. Now when you want to read you don’t have time. This is the situation with many. You get time to watch a porno, go to a club or just sleep. But no time for the books.

Exactly opposite to this, there are peoples who read a lot of books. That is good. In fact great. They are called Readers. Often they develop a taste of books. Here comes the bad thing. They try to impose their taste on you. You’ll fall for this as you think he is a good reader and has good knowledge about books. It’s not necessary that you’ll like what he likes. You may get frustrated by the book  and won’t read ever again.

So what can you do in such a situation? It’s better that “YOU” do not to develop of taste.  Read anything and just anything you get. Slowly it’ll become a habit and you’ll love reading. I did that. I always want people to read. Even if I know a book is bad, I stay away from making a comment. At the same time whatever others say, If I want to read a book I read it.

This exercise called reading not only trains your brain but increases your knowledge. This gives you a chance to show off at times.

What will you do?

Good times, Bad times… They come and go. You never know when you’ll face one of them. So what should you do is be prepared for both of them. When everything is going good, just be prepared for some unusual situation that may arise. Don’t keep reminding yourself of that or else you’ll spoil the good time.

What I can say is most of us are not prepared for bad times. We always assume our time will be good. You never know… Then you fall in a situation like below. Tell me what you would have done in such a case?

Those with weak heart would get an attack. The man in the circle surely looks the type I am talking about. Eyes wide open and a big O of mouth. At least he is still there. Many disappear after such a situation like they have got power to be invisible. Disappeared in a flash….

Till you fall in such a situation…

Milestones – Why are they called so?

“He achieved another milestone.”

You hear such sort of statements after someone achieves something or someone succeeds in something. This something differs from person to person but the statement remains the same.

“And he is crossing milestones one after another.”

A question arises is why milestones only?? Do you know the reason??

Milestones are easy to get. You find them at every one mile distance. In international units its roughly 1.6 Km.When we achieve a milestone there is lot of hard work involved in it. We have the sweat dropping hours of work. Well the sweat dropping thing is not for the chefs and the ones related in food industry. You may get fired for dropping sweat there. :sideways:

The hard work we do cannot be compared to milestone. Milestones come every mile and they are easy to get. Unlike the success we get. It’s not everyday that we taste success. It’s a luxury. Comparing success to milestone is just not the respect and honor for the person’s work. Do you think success is like a milestone?? It always appears after every mile that we travel?? At least don’t include me in that list.

So what’s the alternative word for this? There is no perfect one. But I guess there’s a need to find for an English word. May be I am just not aware of the word.

Till you reach another milestone…
