How to split or make a sample from MP4 file

Sometimes you need to split mp4 files. The use of these files is less than avi format but its increasing. This format is used now in high quality rips, online videos and mobile phones. I’ve N72 phone and I shoot videos often. Sometimes I want to split them. And i do it with a little software called YAMB. This is freeware and I love freewares. So here is a short tutorial on how to split the mp4 file. Rippers can use this to create a sample of the file.

Open YAMB and click Editing. Then select “Click to split MP4/M4A/MOV/3GP Files”.

In the next screen browse to the file you want to split or make sample of. In this screen you’ll find “Enable preview”. But that function doesn’t work. select “Split from”. Here I want to split my video starting from minute 1 to minute 2. The input format is hh:mm:ss. so my input becomes 00:01 to 00:02. You can use seconds if you want it more precise.

Click next. if the duration is large then it’ll take sometime. Else it finishes within a flash. You’ll find the splitted file in the same folder where your original file is. In my case here the file is in “D:\My Documents”.

Note: Some bugs are still present in software. You may get some error when you exit the program. Just ignore that error. Other than this it’s a beautiful software.

  1. Ꭲhis site was… how ԁo I say it? Relevant!!
Finally I’ve found something which helped me. Appreciate it!

  2. To make this easy, the owner should do positive reinforcement.
That is, assuming you know someone with a box at
the yard. This can absolutely be cherished by many people who always continue
    touring.

  3. For one thing, it is a time to share your views and feelings.
As an example, the Tierney family crest is catalogued as “Azure two lines rampant or, supporting a sword proper”.
It is also an opportunity to discuss important character traits with them like honesty, conflict resolution, strategy, compromise and how to be a graceful loser – or a graceful winner, even.

  4. My brother recommended I may like this web site. He used to be totally right.
This post truly made my day. You cann’t believe simply how a lot time I had spent for this information! Thanks!

  5. Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog and wished to
say that I have truly enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again very soon!

  6. I downloaded the beta version which was the recommended one on the website. You’re right that it was over in a flash – except it was so quick it didn’t bother creating an output file, so not much point in using it. Oh, and then when I quit the program, I had a recurring Access Violation dialogue box (when I say recurring, about 40-50 in a matter of seconds) forcing me to Kill Process within taskmgr. It might be free, but it’s rubbish. Sorry.

  7. Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I’m done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It’s a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway.
