Festive Five days

Glad to be blogging again. After being offline for five days here I am with a dose of nonsense. It is amazing that the five days ended very quickly. I woke up yesterday morning just to see that it was the last day of the festival. Gosh!!! It should have been more. All the hard work in preparations, in prayers, in the rituals, in the aarti’s was fun to do. Meetings in join family always rejoiceful.

Yesterday was the immersion day. Rains for the past four days were not in the picture. To our surprise rains god wanted to give us company for the immersion ceremony. The close by river where we immerse the idol was almost flooded within no time. When I went there and saw the speed of water I thought we’ll be having trouble today. Thankfully rain intensity reduced and it was all good in the end. It was 2 o’clock by then.

I came home today and first thing was as usual to be online. A flood of e-mails and messages was waiting for me. And there is still the subscriptions of the blogs which I haven’t finished. It’ll take sometime to complete. I wish I owned a laptop so that I could finish them in my free time at work. It’ll take 2-3 days maybe.

The first thing I noticed was my e-mails where “chromed”. Many e-mails regarding this Google browser which I won’t be using. Secondly due to lack of publicity there was not much response to “Talking Picture 05”. So no results this time. It seems nobody liked the snowman drinking beer. =] I’ll be trying different traffic source from next month and will slow down use of entrecard till the big announcement.

The last five days were great. Chatting with my siblings, uncles, friends, some other relatives really pulled of everything that was on my head. It feels much more relaxed. Now I am ready for routine life. Such breaks in the routines should be made compulsory. Now have to see where my work has reached?? I’ll have to wear a bulletproof jacket tomorrow. 😆

Think Nonsense…

Are you Hard Working??

Of course you are. Otherwise you wouldn’t be reading my nonsense at your office table. :p There was a small argument between me and my friend and that lead to the idea of this post. I consider myself as hard working person (may be it should be hard-ly). Working on many sites and managing them simultaneously is a tiring job. Add to that my physic which will remind you of your Biology lab. I don’t have much ready made sentences. You’ll have to read this sentence again and again in my blog.

I cannot remember how the argument started. Usually we never remember the cause of argument. We keep vomiting till we are dehydrated completely. (Yeah. I know some Biology terms). Then there was question about the timings of my work. I usually work from 9-6 (It’s not 69). He said he used to work till 3am or 4 am and then again get up by 9. Then back to work. I laugh at such peoples. They give reasons that their boss pressurizes them and makes them work that much. Here comes the difference.

I never work after 6 o’clock. Call me lazy, call me useless, call me not worth. I don’t care. I am paid to work between the time and I should try working as much as I can between that time. And I do that. I give as much as I can. I am not like those who will try to impress their boss by working overtime. Most of the time they do nothing in overtime. They just stay there so that boss should know they work overtime. Many offices give a cup of coffee free during that time. I like my coffee at home. I don’t want to save my money. Continue reading →

Important Notice!!!

I am sorry to share this mail a bit late. I hope the disease didn’t spread much. Please read carefully with full attention and pass it on.

The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weary Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues, or anyone else via any means whatsoever – DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest grocery store and purchase one or both of the antidotes – Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Hard work and Luck

The harder you work, Luckier you get.

I read this somewhere a long time ago. And somehow I can still remember this. That’s because this phrase is 1000% true in my case. No, its not typo like I always do here. It is 1000. Three zeros after of one. I find myself lucky when I’m working somewhere. Good things happen many times. And this time again.

Just when I joined this new job, I’m now getting offers at new places. Currently two jobs. I’ve been striving for a job for the last one and half or two months. I helped to increased the pile of newspaper in search of vacancies. Kept checking my e-mail ID 2-3 times every 5 minutes. But still I didn’t got the job.

And now that I’m on the job I get offers. That’s something I’m getting used to now. And that is why I say the phrase suits me perfect. In fact it may have been quoted for me only. I’m just trying to find out the person who quoted that. Eager to ask him whether the inspiration for that quote was me. If you somehow find that person then do reply me or inform me about that. I’ll be thankful.

How much I work now?? Do I work hard?? Hmmmm….. Well I do. I love to work. And may be that’s the thing makes me work harder. And that again makes me lucky. Are you one of such species?? Let me know if I have any companion. Then we can argue about who being the inspiration for that quote.
