The language of music

It’s been days since I am thinking of posting about music. Today I got right time when one of my favorite movie score won Oscars. Yup, The Slumdog Millionaire. The passion for music made me write this post. My collection of music is growing and growing and growing. There is no restriction of language when it comes to music. I listen to music in many languages and it is a global language. Language is not a barrier for a music buff. Though Hindi, Marathi and English makes most of my music, I do listen to Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Konkani music. Not all of it I understand but still it leaves effect on me. If the song is sad song without knowing the meaning of a single word the feeling comes to me. If the song is romantic then it leaves that effect. This is the beauty of music. It is not just me, ask any true music lover. You’ll get a similar reply.

For the past few month I’ve lost my interest in music. The reason is the quality of music. Now a days it is very difficult to find a good combination of lyrics and music which together forms music. And if at all a song has good music it fails on lyrics side. It hurts when you find lyrics killing a song. I don’t want to give examples here. The current hot genre is the Rap music. It sounds good in some tracks but otherwise it is not at all good on ears. This is my opinion. You may be one of the greatest rap follower or rap fan. But not me. A good lyrics also helps a song to get popular.

My passion for music started when I entered the college. Within a year I became an avid Rock fan. I used to listen to a lot of variety from Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Nirvana, Sepulatara, and some other selected tracks from various composers. It all started with “Wherever I may roam” by Metallica. “In the end” remains my favorite rock track. The lines “I tried so hard and got so far, In the end it doesn’t even matter” pictured my life at that stage. (Yeah you guessed it right. The Back papers..:P).During that stage I got my favorite track “Stuck in a moment” by U2 and another one “Walking Away” by Craig David. I get goosebumps when I recall those moments and but feel proud I got out of those successfully. Music played a big role in that. Music has the soothing effect which can heal many wounds not cured by any medicine.

To make this post the longest post so far in my blog, I am adding a list of my favorites track.
Hindi:
1) Zindagi Ke Safar Mein – Kishore Kumar
2) Aanewala Pal – Kishore Kumar
3) Main Zindagi Ka Sath – Mohd. rafi
4) Chukar Mere Man Ko – Kishore Kumar
5) Tere Bin Jeena Nahi – Bali Brahmabhatt

English:
1) Stuck In A Moment – U2
2) In The End – Linkin Park
3) Walking Away – Craig david
4) Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love – George Benson
5) Be With you – Enrique Iglesias

It’s difficult to control that list and I somehow did that. Yeah I am great. It is indeed difficult to choose when you have zillions of songs. There are many more which I love to listen. I cannot list all of them here. Keep listening to music. I hope you were doing the same while reading this…

Hakuna Matata – No need to worry

Long back there was this song which made me dance and laugh. It was similar to the song from The Lion King. This is just the Hindi version of the song. I am yet to watch that movie. I tried and tried to get my hands on it. A couple of months ago I even found the links. But I lost them. I am moving away from VCD’s, so it’s difficult to get them at rental. I live in a place where DVD is an alien. :alien: You have DVD player and you don’t know what is DVD or what are it’s advantages. Lets’ not drift to that.

Back to Hakuna Matata. I have tried many times to get this song. The Hindi version of course. Though I haven’t seen the movie, I love Timon and Pumba. Very funny characters. There was an animated series on these characters and I used to watch it. Those cartoons had some really ROFL comedy. I loved the craziness and the stupidity. The song I am talking about contains the same elements. It is crazy.

At that time I didn’t knew from which language the words “Hakuna Matata” came from. According to that song it means “No need to worry” or “There are no worries”. The first time I heard that song I was in class seventh. The song is sing by Baba Sehgal and Anaida. Baba Sehgal is famous Indian rapper(I call them rapist as they rape the song most of the times). It’s been months I have been searching for the song.

I understood the meaning of song back then. That’s why I am trying to find out what level of intelligence is required to understand a song. I was an intelligent boy at that time. :face: Studies ruined me. 😆 Almost everyday i waste 20-30 minutes in search of this song. I’ll get it I know that. No need to worry. It is one of those songs which makes my worries go away.

Hakuna Matata…

Sunny one so true

While watching the movie CJ7, this song just sparked me up. This song plays in the end of the movie. The movie is good and you can watch it at least once. But this song is forever. I don’t know how I missed this song to copy to my favorites on hard disk. I quickly searched the 7000+ songs archive and found this along with “Rasputin”. These song remind me of my school days, especially the send off when these were played.

I played this song in media player for almost 15 times. Thirst for this song is still not over. It was midnight and I wanted to sing this song loudly. Those dogs might not like this so I controlled my urge. There is a contract between the dogs and peoples living in my area. You don’t disturb us, we don’t disturb you. So far it is going great and we are having silent nights.

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain.
The dark days are gone, and the bright days are here,
My sunny one shines so sincere.
Sunny one so true, I love you.

I would like to replace “Sunny” by “Bloggy”. It’s the name I gave to my blog. Well I don’t have any pets. Bloggy has certainly affected me in positive manner. It’s nice to see, it’s nice to feel, peoples reading my blog and giving opinions. My life was filled with rain and this “Sunny” came in and I was able to see the Rainbow. That has added some more colors to my life.

There is one question that always comes in front of me and I cannot answer him. He just laughs and goes away only to come again. Why the old songs are close to our hearts rather than the new ones? Is it because old is gold? Is it because of lyrics? Some of the today’s songs also have good lyrics but they never replace the old ones. Is there any song that can replace “Summer of 69”? Nope. I think it’s better I stop searching for the answer. When it comes again I’ll just point him towards you.

Till it finds you keep singing..
Sunny one so true….
I love you….

Everyday I want to fly

Everyday I want to fly stay by my side…
Everyday I want to dream stay by my side…

Every morning I wish I could just play….
Wish the mornings would just stay..

I just loved this lines. This describes my day. I’m a day dreamer. yes you can say that. Dreaming in the day is my need. I cannot afford to dream during night. Hmmmmmmm..

I’ve to sleep at that time. 😀

Unlike common and normal peoples, I don’t like to dream and spoil my sleep. Some dreams can act like sleeping pills. I know that because I’ve done that. There were times when I was unable to sleep. And I dreamed of what I want to be. It’s superhuman and out of the world. I’ll tell you all about that someday. The time has not arrived. And after dreaming about being superhuman, I sleep within 3-4 minutes. So sad that I can be superhuman for a short time.

The lines at the start of the post are not mine. How can I write something great like that. I don’t know who wrote it. But I saw this ad of vodafone where in background music this music was being played. You can get the tone at below link.
