The five minutes difference

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.
“That is my son over there,” she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.”He is a fine looking boy” the man said. “That is my daughter on the bike in the white dress.”

Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. “What do you say we go, Melissa?”
Melissa pleaded, “Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.”
The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart’s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. “Time to go now?”

Again Melissa pleaded, “Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes.”
The man smiled and said, “OK.”
“My, you certainly are a patient father,” the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, “Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I would give anything for just five more minutes with him. I have vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa. She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play.”

Sooner or later you too realize the importance of five minutes to your family. Running after money and the work pressure takes away these five minutes from your family. Here the man pays the price for the five minutes. I pray that no one else suffers like this. Also I hope that you understand the importance of five minutes to loved ones before it’s too late.

Festive Five days

Glad to be blogging again. After being offline for five days here I am with a dose of nonsense. It is amazing that the five days ended very quickly. I woke up yesterday morning just to see that it was the last day of the festival. Gosh!!! It should have been more. All the hard work in preparations, in prayers, in the rituals, in the aarti’s was fun to do. Meetings in join family always rejoiceful.

Yesterday was the immersion day. Rains for the past four days were not in the picture. To our surprise rains god wanted to give us company for the immersion ceremony. The close by river where we immerse the idol was almost flooded within no time. When I went there and saw the speed of water I thought we’ll be having trouble today. Thankfully rain intensity reduced and it was all good in the end. It was 2 o’clock by then.

I came home today and first thing was as usual to be online. A flood of e-mails and messages was waiting for me. And there is still the subscriptions of the blogs which I haven’t finished. It’ll take sometime to complete. I wish I owned a laptop so that I could finish them in my free time at work. It’ll take 2-3 days maybe.

The first thing I noticed was my e-mails where “chromed”. Many e-mails regarding this Google browser which I won’t be using. Secondly due to lack of publicity there was not much response to “Talking Picture 05”. So no results this time. It seems nobody liked the snowman drinking beer. =] I’ll be trying different traffic source from next month and will slow down use of entrecard till the big announcement.

The last five days were great. Chatting with my siblings, uncles, friends, some other relatives really pulled of everything that was on my head. It feels much more relaxed. Now I am ready for routine life. Such breaks in the routines should be made compulsory. Now have to see where my work has reached?? I’ll have to wear a bulletproof jacket tomorrow. 😆

It’s festival time

Starting from today there will be a festival of our god Ganesh. This festival is known as Ganesh chaturthi. We bring the statue of Ganesh and worship him for certain number of day. At our house it’s for 5 days. So I won’t be there for 5 days. Even if I am online it’ll be hardly for long time. Wishing all those who celebrate this festival Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Intializing Job No. 5

Aha… Well you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t know then probably a bit of using “Search Nonsense” link would help. You’ll find an entry about my previous job. If you are interested only then. There is nothing interesting in dumb person like me. But you never know. Sometimes an ass (Please don’t take the other meaning) can be interesting if you listen to him. :woot:

So after missing an interview and then refused to go to one, I went on this interview. The one I refused was because of my pride. I’m proud person :bandit: And when things are about my country I go crazy. So I decided not to go for this. They must have got the one they wanted. Else they would have made a contact with me. Sorry guys. But call yourself lucky not to have a nonsense person.

My interviews are always great. Somehow I manage to impress the interviewer. 😆 Things only get stuck on salary. I never force someone to increase my salary. They should give me what I deserve. I don’t request them and hence I don’t get a job. God knows when the pride in me will faint away.

About this job. First day. It looks to be good. You never know. Things sometime look different from outside and are different from inside. Anyways, the first impression was good. I left another impression on the boss of work. He surely thinks that I’m intelligent. 😆 😆 Hoping to continue this impression. It’ll take time.

You read the whole thing. Don’t you think you are forgetting something. Come on. Wish me luck…. 👿
