Towards a Digital Globe

Question: Which is the most used language in this world?
Answer: Chinese. No English. No Hindi…

The fight goes on. Question remains unanswered. Most used language changes according to time. So what is the correct answer of this question? Personally I feel it is Binary language. Don’t laugh.( Actually you should 😀 ) It is the truth. I cannot prove it statistically and I am not writing this to prove this also.

Just to convince you a little bit. What is the language of computer? It is not the one you are writing or your operating system is running. It is Binary language. Just ones and zeros that add, subtract, divide, multiply and give you the results. There may be thousands of languages around the world. People speak different languages but computer speaks only one languages. I don’t have to further tell you how much computers are used in today’s word. Do I?

Decades ago, There was nothing digital. Everything analog which creates noise and need more maintenance. This mostly applies to communication field but not limited to. After the discovery of diodes and triodes, the world started moving towards a digital age. All analog things started to be replaced by digital ones. Much of them proved to be more efficient. Now many of us hate analog things. Just as an example.. Do you prefer digital camera or analog? Bike with digital odometer or analog?

We are moving towards a digital globe. Soon everything you think will turn to digital. Not everything actually. But most of the things. It has already started. It may seem that we are making progress by going digital, it may not be true. Analog has an edge that it can be controlled by the one who drives it. When it’s digital you can’t say. You may not have control over that. I like some things digital and it includes my watch also. But the classy analog watch is still the best.

I am not at all trying to make you stop from buying anything digital. Just remember, tomorrow the robot washing your clothes may wash them with you inside the cloth.

Tuesday Readings 04

I am not getting good response to Tuesday Readings post. I thought I would get. Anyways, I’ll still continue to blog about posts I liked most. The first one is perfect example that I pick post from anywhere. What makes a happy ending?? is a post from a blog which has total of six posts. But I liked the thoughts in the posts. This is something similar to my thoughts. I hope the author writes often after this.

The next post is about Nothing. The title itself is attractive. It’s nothing and started reading that. Remember the law of conservation of energy which we learned back in our school days? That is used here in a clever way. And I really liked this line. Just remember – if you want to make something, you can’t make it out of nothing.

How much you know about cancer? Are you aware of how deadly it is?? Do you know some cancer can be cured? Do you know which common day to day things can lead to  cancer? Too many questions. Some of the answers are found in The Dust on Your Computer Screen . I never knew my monitor can cause cancer. I am most of the times in front of this. This post was an eye opener.

The last post is about pictures. The author is a photographer or loves to take photos. The couple in the photo looks nice. There is a different kind of brightness on their face. This link is Another evening in the park. I will not write much about this. I’ll move  and let you read the blog and the pictures. 😀

Things making me lazy

There are many thing in this world which make your life easy. It’ll be more precise if I use the word lazy. Yeah they make us lazy. Due to Bikes and Cars we don’t walk much. Even a distance of 5-6 minutes we cannot walk. That is the effect of the machinery and life easy making goods. We don’t even know but they are making us lazy. Take this example.

This is a product called “Hubbacino USB Hub and Cup Warmer”. It just does a simple thing. I don’t even have to tell you what does this do. But for the sake of people like me I have to write this. This product simply keeps the cup of tea or coffee warm.

Many of us drink tea or coffee while working on Computer or Laptop. It is coffee most of the time. And while working or chatting or doing whatever you do on Computer, you forget the cup of coffee you brought. And you have to go again into the kitchen and make it warm again. So that you can enjoy it’s flavor. But this little things makes you lazy. It just don’t want you get up from your chair.

Just attach this to an USB port and keep the coffee cup on it. This little thing keep the cup warm and you can enjoy the coffee till it’s over. You don’t have to worry about coffee becoming cold and rushing to kitchen. And it’s not just cup warmer but also acts like a Hub.

Actually this company should pay me for this review which will increase their sales. But I’m doing this for free. I’m not a greedy person. 😀
