Sitting on the edge

Edges are dangerous most of the times. They hurt you as well. Sitting on the edge is what you won’t like to do. That is because you never know when you will fall. For an acrophobic person, The one who has fear for height, this is almost like a suicide. Without even attempting a jump he will be falling down from height just because of the fear for height.

Some years back, before joining to my first job, I was an acrophobic person. i used to fear by the heights. I was unable to go near the edges of anything high. imagine the cautious slow steps towards the edge going inch by inch. After joining the first job I had to climb the scaffoldings and the roof slabs for checking purpose. This is when my fear started fading. It still exists but to a small extent.

Happy Dussehra

Dussehra Vijayadashami Durga Pooja

Today is the festival of Dussehra. It is mostly celebrated in West Bengal and in the northern region on large scale. Celebrated in different ways in the regions but it has a common thing, common thought to tell us. Good always wins over bad. Evils are always defeated no matter how powerful they are. The motive of the festival is to turn spread the goodness and increase the faith of peoples in good.

In West Bengal, It is celebrated as Durga Pooja. This starts nine days before Dussehra. People gather together and play dandiya which is also popular in Gujarat. In Gujarat it is celebrated as festival of Navratri. Gujarat has one more reason to celebrate as the Tata Nano project shifts to Sanad. In the northern regions like Uttar Pradesh, effigies of Ravana, Meghanath and Kumbhakarna are burnt to celebrate the victory of Lord Ram. Hence it is also known as Vijayadashami.

Believe in good and be good. Happy Dussehra…

I cnt liv widout spel chckr

Did you notice? You were able to read the title correctly without any problem. Human mind can interpret the words written in the above manner. this quality is exploited and is being used in many places. Mostly this “places” refer to online hangouts, chatrooms, websites, blogs and we have mobiles. If you are not tech savvy  then probably mobiles is the place where you must have used this pattern of writing or texting to your friend colleague.

This thing turns out to be a good mind exercise. If you get too much of SMS in this particular language pattern then your brain gets good exercise. It remains fit and such mental exercise often increases your productivity(Do you feel I am exaggerating??). The only downside may be the phone bills for the replies of such messages. If you get too much messages you also need to reply to them in order to keep the communication. Continue reading →

That’s a big fish

Big fishClick To Magnify

There are times when you run to catch a big fish. And on a lucky day you catch one big fish. But what happens then?? You sit on a rock nearby and start thinking what to do with that big fish. You don’t seem to find a way to get out of this. Isn’t it possible to share that fish. You keep yourself enough of it and share the rest. Even if you are eating machine, still it will take a long time to finish it up.

Happiness is just like that big fish. When you get it share it with someone else. A friend of your’s or may be a colleague. That will increase your happiness. There will be a day at least when they will talk to you about this moment long after the event. If you keep all of it to yourself, It will rot. The result may be in terms of bad smell. You certainly don’t want that.

I am a vegetarian so that big fish is not a problem for me. You can replace the big fish with a gigantic pumpkin if you want. Story will still remain the same. There will be one more common problem in both cases. How will you transport the whole thing? 😉

Happy Fishing…
