The Time I Waste

Time wasted in enjoying is not a wasted time.

The Time I waste

When I talk about time these are my first views about time. But almost 99.9% of you will not even think about this. I know I’m gifted with nonsense. So better leave it to me. But if you ask anyone around you what time means you?? or What are your views about time?? Then the first answer you’ll get is “Time is money”. While reading this, especially above two questions, probably the same answer went through your mind. Isn’t it?? Continue reading →

Tuesday Readings 06

For the last whole week I was offline and busy in festival activities. So that is another Tuesday with almost no readings. I am just trying to read and complete the blog subscriptions. They are good and readable to keep me updated. But hardly there is something which is worth a mention. I was just about to close this post by writing above excuse till…..

I read this blog for every update. One of the best one’s in my subscription list. This post about What is Signposting is another best. It tells us some very simple ways of signposting which will make conversation easy to follow to the listener. There is not much effort involved and I’ll be practicing it straight away.

The second is a blog which I skip sometimes. Just because as it said in the post it writes much about food. How to write a popular blog post is a post where I thought I’ll get some tips from him. It turned out to be a different one but it’s enjoyable. Now I am looking forward whether the author sticks to his blog or uses “sex and money” to promote.

Just two posts for this week. I’ll try to fill this gap next Tuesday. I’ll make this post popular by tagging it with words “sex and money” 😆

Festive Five days

Glad to be blogging again. After being offline for five days here I am with a dose of nonsense. It is amazing that the five days ended very quickly. I woke up yesterday morning just to see that it was the last day of the festival. Gosh!!! It should have been more. All the hard work in preparations, in prayers, in the rituals, in the aarti’s was fun to do. Meetings in join family always rejoiceful.

Yesterday was the immersion day. Rains for the past four days were not in the picture. To our surprise rains god wanted to give us company for the immersion ceremony. The close by river where we immerse the idol was almost flooded within no time. When I went there and saw the speed of water I thought we’ll be having trouble today. Thankfully rain intensity reduced and it was all good in the end. It was 2 o’clock by then.

I came home today and first thing was as usual to be online. A flood of e-mails and messages was waiting for me. And there is still the subscriptions of the blogs which I haven’t finished. It’ll take sometime to complete. I wish I owned a laptop so that I could finish them in my free time at work. It’ll take 2-3 days maybe.

The first thing I noticed was my e-mails where “chromed”. Many e-mails regarding this Google browser which I won’t be using. Secondly due to lack of publicity there was not much response to “Talking Picture 05”. So no results this time. It seems nobody liked the snowman drinking beer. =] I’ll be trying different traffic source from next month and will slow down use of entrecard till the big announcement.

The last five days were great. Chatting with my siblings, uncles, friends, some other relatives really pulled of everything that was on my head. It feels much more relaxed. Now I am ready for routine life. Such breaks in the routines should be made compulsory. Now have to see where my work has reached?? I’ll have to wear a bulletproof jacket tomorrow. 😆

Think Nonsense…

Womanist Musings

There are times when you get closer to the reality it hurts. Very few tend to write on the real things and express it in a way that will leave a place somewhere. I like to read such writings and believe me they are getting very rare. Most of the times writer tend to write on fantasies and own creations. That is because it sells faster. Believe me that a good writer will try to write something on reality. This blog is something about such thing.

Womanist Musings is one of the blogs which goes towards the reality and tries to bring out some issues which were never in focus. When I first hit this blog i thought it’ll be just another political blog expressing blah blah about democrats and republican parties. When I started reading carefully and peeking through archive gave me an idea of how good the blog is.

Everyday stories with a different perspective are common but these are not just everyday stories. As the name suggests most of the stories are related to woman. I am confused though that the blog name is due to the above reason or because they are being written by a woman. Almost every story will strike you. If you re a good reader then you’ll be back. Power from Sun – Solar Cells

Energy is life and it’s precious. Most of the energy is derived from non-renewable sources of energy like coal and petroleum products. Now to some extent Natural gas also. Most of us are aware that these sources are depleting day by day. Very high usage of energy for a good life style have lead to this situation. I have been writing about this in between my posts so that at least one will try to save energy.

To keep up with demand and supply curve , now the energy is collected from sun via solar cells. These solar cells are there for quiet a long time. Due to high cost in manufacturing and then as a product very few were buying these. Most of the times they are used by laboratories or by the peoples who can afford those. But the new breakthroughs will change the current situation and may increase the penetration of solar cells.

The first breakthrough is by a Canadian base company who is successful in creating a solar cell which will reduce the cost by 25%. It will also increase the efficiency of solar cells up to 19%. Currently the efficiency of solar cells is about 15%. The new Generation II technology will also speed up the manufacturing process reducing the production costs by 25%. The current Generation I cells have an efficiency of 14.7%.

Another breakthrough is by an Australian PhD student who is successful in creating solar cell out of everyday used items such as inkjet printers, nail polish and pizza ovens. He calls this technology as iJET which is really helpful to developing countries. This technology uses the current low-cost inkjet printing process to create the cell. The beauty of the iJet is that it can be made at room temperature and without high-tech environments or components.

I will surely buy solar cells if their cost reduces to an extent where I can afford them. This energy is renewable and comes free. There will be also less or no hard to our environment.
