More Changes

Last week I made some changes to my blog. They were minor changes. But I had some good changes in my mind that time. Unfortunately I could not implement them as I fell sick. Was not in a position even to stand forget the changes. Yesterday I felt better and today I’m almost fine. A little bit of cough still persists. So I decided to make some changes.

First thing was to have a Favorite icon. As you can see now my blog looks different in all those tabs. You can easily identify my page due to that small image. The “G” images. What does “G” stands for?? Well “G” stands for Genius. 😀 It’s my Initial letter. There are many fancy things also. But I thought of this simple icon.

Secondly some CSS changes. Now the links in my posts appear in clear red. Earlier it was difficult to find which text is link. But now it’s clearly visible. Also the text at the bottom of page is changed. Earlier it was “Next Page and Previous Page” now it’s “Older Posts and Newer posts”. Sensible??? Continue reading →

Granny of Future

This will be the granny of future. I think some granny’s are already like this. I remember mine. Both of them. They used to knit and make blankets. Whenever I used to stay there in holidays I used to get one on the way to return. But today I think the relations are not as close like the old days. At least I feel I’m lucky to run around my granny and grandpa. May be in near future there may be a program to create pickles.

I still remember the “Laddus” she used to prepare for me whenever I go for a stay in holidays. Even otherwise I used to get some sent through my uncles or aunties. I wish those days could be back again. It’s not possible though. Most of the times I used to go in summer. And bananas were in plenty those days. Unlike today where the two diseases have spoiled them. She used to make special “Pakodas” of banana. Really tasty stuff.

How can I forget various types of “Papad”. I loved them all. And now I really miss them. Our age is gone. Now in this Hi-Tech world these things are getting lost. Everything is getting computerized or machine made. That doesn’t have the taste which my granny used to make. I miss you granny…

Duh. Nostalgia…

Posting for myself

I’m a selfish person. I’ve may have told this before. For those who don’t know be aware of this fact now. The reason for this to write is again the blog. Almost from day one on linkreferral I’m getting reviews that my postings are funny. They contain humor and hence they liked it. Some exceptions actually found the thoughts(??????????????????????????) behind this humor. But most of them rated high for the humor.

Now the fact is that I’m not writing for all my readers. Sorry to say that. But that’s the fact. I write what I want to. I write what I liked to read and liked to comment on. So the writings may not be funny always. Don’t expect me to write funny posts always(Yeah… Yeah… Running away from expectations). As you can see the 7000+ hits mark passed I get decent amount of traffic.

The thing I’m worried is that my blog may be getting into a mould. A mould where only funny things are written and you expect such things every time you visit. You haven’t got a decent laugh of smile throughout the day and expect that this blog will make you. Yeah I would love to do that. I will surely post nonsense. Feeling Better

After four days now I somewhat feel better. It was terrible four days. I was not able to watch televisions due to headache. Not able to use my Computer. Thanks to my Mother. Not able to read (Hey!! I’m not illiterate nor blind). The thing I was missing most was my blog. Somehow I’m getting used to it and have to post here. At least visit once otherwise I feel uncomfortable.

Though I logged in for a short while yesterday it was for a short while. I thought of posting but i didn’t. I couldn’t. When I browse sites and blog I subscribe I can see many things happened in these three days. It will take some time to read through those blogs and the news clippings. I like to be aware of the happenings around me. It keeps me fresh and updated.

The interview I missed yesterday is on Saturday. I hope my voice clear ups by today evening. That way i can inform them about my status. That reminded me of my cell phone. When I looked at it it’s switched off. Damn…… Battery down. These days I hardly take any phone or make calls. Talks are mostly professional based only. Like those Desperate Housewives I am Desperate for a job.. 😀

Boss first

A sales representative, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish.”
“Me first! Me first!” says the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.” Puff! She’s gone.
“Me next! Me next!” says the sales representative. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Puff! He’s gone.
“OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

So far the jobs I did I followed above rules. I always let him say what he wanted and I was the last to comment. That may put a bad impression at start that you don’t know anything. But slowly the boss of your work realizes and understands. Another advantage is that troubles by his decisions will not be blamed upon you. That’s for sure. Anyone starting or joining first job make a note of this.
