Holi – The Festival of Colors

Today is Holi. It is called as festival of colors. On this day friends, relatives meet and play with colors. It’s very difficult to recognize someone this day due to the colorful face. There are some who are afraid of these colors and try to save themselves. It’s real good fun to color such peoples. Unfortunately I never find someone like this.

This is one of the festival where skin color, race, religion does not matter. All come together and celebrate this. Such festival often show the unity in peoples. People forget their differences and become friends again. Such is the capability of this festival.

Fortunately or unfortunately I’m so far saved from being colored today. In our town we’ll play colors on a day which will be decided soon. That day I’m sure you’ll see a color”fool” face.

To all Indians all around the world I wish Happy Holi.
Have a colorful day.

Restoring the Show Desktop icon

If you accidentally delete the Show Desktop icon from the Quick Launch toolbar, here’s how to get it back:
1. Open Notepad
2. Type these lines, precisely, into Notepad:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

3. Save the file on your desktop as “Show Desktop.scf”
You see a new icon on your desktop that looks remarkably like the Show Desktop icon that used to be on your Quick Launch toolbar.
4. Right-click the new icon on your desktop and drag it to the Quick Launch toolbar.
5. Drop the icon wherever you like on the Quick Launch toolbar and choose Move Here. If you choose Move Here, Windows automatically deletes the icon from the desktop.

If there is no icon in Quick Launch toolbar then you won’t be able to move the above way. In that case browse to
“C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch”
Here “Username” is your windows login name. This folder is hidden so just copy above path substituting username and paste it in Windows Explorer adress bar. Press enter and folder will open. Now copy or move the “Show Desktop.scf” to this folder. It will immediately appear in Quick Launch toolbar.

25 years

25 years

16th March was 25th Wedding Anniversary of my parents. So now you may have guessed I’m less than 25 years old. 🙂 Spending 25 years with someone is not that difficult. My parents are best examples. I’m unable to understand how do they deserve a dumb ass son like me?? It’s not fare. They deserved a lot better. Atleast my sister made them proud.I couldn’t even arrange a small function on that day. Though we four celebrated it. A small pooja is there on this Sunday. We all love our parents and so do I. But somehow I always have the feeling that I’m not doing things which make them happy. A smile on their face because of me is an incident which takes place once in a Blue Moon.

Trying to make things better. But somehow the process always gets reversed. Funny things do happen. What else could happen with me. But this fun never puts up a smile on their face. My Mother is the first lady I admire in my life. And then comes my sister. Because of these two personalities I respect woman a lot. The way they try to cover me or my mistakes without anything in return. But may be I haven’t told you guys. I’m a shameless human being.

The chemistry between me and my father always produces a bi-product and heat. There was a long silent movie running which was turned into talkie just a while back. But still it’s not that friendly. I don’t know how my steps to make them happy always go other way. One of my best quality becomes the worst here. I never stop trying. Because I know someday I’ll succeed.

Hope that day comes soon enough.

Atlast..

I was very much frustrated of being not able to blog for 4 days. After some efforts(???) somehow I got this blog working. And now if it’s not being updated daily then what is the use. After searching some shops for motherboard and CPU, I found the one I wanted. Got new PSU also. Though my current one works and is compatible. I somehow fell for the words you can say.

Then it took sometime to assemble all the things one by one. It’s been long since I had assembled a PC. I plugged one by one so as to prevent any further damage. Once Motherboard and CPU got working it was easy I thought. But then a painful installation of Windows XP and all that junk so as to get things working.

Still haven’t installed any software other than my favorite browser. It feels lot better to get back to blogging again. Will continue to post nonsense.

Think Nonsense…

Did your job application rejected?

The next time your application for a job is rejected do this

Dear [Interviewer’s Name ]:

Thank you for your letter of [Date of Interview].

After careful consideration I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your firm. This year I have had been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.

Despite [Firm’s Name]’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet with my needs at this time. Therefore, I will initiate employment with your firm immediately following graduation. I look forward to seeing you then.

Best of luck in rejecting future candidates.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
