Some Relief

At least Some relief yesterday on UEFA. Matches went as I predicted. The match between Greece and Sweden was a tough match. Though Sweden won by 2-0 margin the match was leading nowhere till 67 minutes. The goal scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Very difficult name to remember) was superb. I haven’t seen a beautiful goal like this recently. The second goal I call a mere fluke. Although at this level the goal should have been avoided by the goalkeeper. Greece defense is not good. They need to improve. They somehow manage to save some goals in first half. Swedish team played well. Watching them for the next match now..

The other match I expected that Spain will win and that happened. Though the margin of goal was large. i thought may be 2-0 will be the winning margin. The goal scored by Russia was a bonus. But it was executed well. Will Russia play well in coming matches?? Difficult to predict. But they should and give some tough competition. This will really spice up the tournament. One sided wins are not enjoyable.

Now in couple of minutes I’m expecting good matches. Winner prediction cannot be made here. Though in first match Portugal has a higher side due to last match win and the sensation Ronaldo.

Flock – The Social Browser

Just another web browser. For me it’s everything. It’s my default web browser. I was fed up of crashes with Firefox and high memory usage. The high memory usage problem still persists. Since the Browser is based on Firefox. But It doesn’t crashes. I don’t have to use many extensions as many features I want are integrated into it. I just love the Web clipboard feature. It’s like my life. Just clip to it and use it in my blog. Very simple. I can setup my blog through flock and never visit blog editor on my blog. The features of Blog editor are pretty neat. Then there is integration to many social networking sites and upload sites.

Features:

Flock 1.1 integrates social networking and media services including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, Blogger, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc. When logging into to any of the supported social services, Flock automatically activates these services within its features:

* Flock can indicate when friends have updated their profile, uploaded photos or other things.
* Flock has internal features that allow simpler sharing for text, links, photos or even entire videos.
* Flock has its own system allowing quick preview of online videos and photos, and subscription to video feeds.
* Flock’s Feed Reader organizes Atom and RSS feeds.
* Flock’s Blog Editor allows direct posting into a designated blog, along with being a blog reader.
* Flock also allows for third-party add-ons, including a number of Firefox extensions.

Requirements:
None in particular. Doesn’t support Windows 98 (I think so). Who uses that OS By the way.

Disappointing UEFA

After the 2003 Cricket Worldcup my inclination towards Hockey and Football increased. And I had this football craze since 2002 Worldcup. I remember playing FIFA for long hours since then. So I was keen about this UEFA 2008. The Germany Vs, Poland match though Germany won I felt Poland played very well. A bit disappointing performance from Germany. And then yesterday.

I never imagined that Italy will loose so easily and that too by 3-0 margin. Truly disappointing. Are they World champions?? was the question which striked me many times while watching this. Though there are controversies about first goal being offside( which i think is right) I was expecting much better play from them. The Polish team played well. Or should I say played very well.

The other match between France Vs. Romania. I said blindly France will win by good margin. And what is the result. A 0-0 draw. If such things continue to happen then I’ll have to stop watching Football also. I was cursing Tata Sky, My DTH operator, for removing the sports channels at the start of this month. Just because I’ll miss UEFA. Though they revert back to their changes and now I can watch full UEFA, Now I feel not to watch.

The next match I’m interested is Greece Vs. Sweden. expecting to be a tough match. I hope this match doesn’t disappoint me.

Cricket fever

Thank God…. The so called biggest cricket extravaganza is over. Its a week since it’s over. I’m writing today because it was still in news even after the finale. It is said to be a huge success and has changed the cricket approach. the fast forward 20-20 games will soon replace 50-50. We don’t have time isn’t it?? So how will ICC get profit with our lack of time for things. but the, When there is a cricket match it’s like a holiday. You’ll hardly find anyone working in government offices.

The whole tournament lasted for 44 days and there were many controversies during the tournament. There were fights between team players. Someone slapped someone. Someone cried like a baby. The player doesn’t charge, but surprisingly the team captain does. Then the withdrawal of the charges. Mind you that the same players play for the country as a team. And now they are fighting here. As there is a saying. Controversies, Good or Bad, doesn’t matter. They are sure to get you in the limelight. Maybe tomorrow a celebrity will be in limelight for kicking a donkey. Mangoes

Mango….The king of fruits. I just love mangoes. And there is no limit to eating it. Actually I love to eat seasonal fruits. Like these mangoes which grow up in summer. But this summer is a bit different. Oh I must say now this summer was a bit different. It’s raining heavily here. Every summer we used to get mangoes at a decent price. But before that uncle used to send us and they used to be whole lot of them. But this year somehow the fruit is prolonged. The fruits are there but are not ripe. They are there for about two months. Just last week onwards they started ripening.

I missed this fruit for whole season. Last week when I went to uncles house me together with my brother picked up fruits from the tree. The Monkey in me is always awake. Climbing the tree was not a big task. I picked almost 250-300 mangoes. I actually went to eat one beautiful jungle fruit. I don’t know what is that called in english, But it tastes great.
