Building Traffic

For the last two months I have trying to build up traffic to this blog. I made changes to increase traffic. Registering to Entrecard was a boon to my traffic. But I was and am always aware that the traffic is not targeted. They are users who come and go just to fulfill some requirement. There is a small percentage of that traffic which is really interested in blogging. Such visitors are difficult to get but once you get they stick to you.

Of course you need to write good to keep them attached to your blog. This month I want to totally depend on my 280+ posts to get traffic to my blog. I want to see how many users really get to my blog without having to force them. I want to quit entrecard as it suxx xD now due to some changes in it’s policies. They believe it will prove to be good. But every now and then they are hitting a nail in coffin. Just have to wait when will be the final nail in coffin?? I cannot quit entrecard instantly as my 20000+ec are hanging there. I am playing “Hangman” there now. :bandit:

I’ll be totally idle and out of blogging world you can say. I want to give more attention to content and content writing. Eventhough it’s nonsense, you should be able to understand that it is nonsense. Theme for four days a week has created some good reputation. I saw one blog copying my idea of “Tuesday Readings”. :whistle: There will be more coming like that. I don’t mind them.

To all the visitors and readers who are reading my blog and read this blog till this line, please be patient for some days. If you have a blog I’ll be replying to you soon. I am gone nowhere. Just a small hibernation. I’ll be writing but not promoting. Consulting and studying better ways to write blog. If you have tips for this dumb guy then you are always welcomed. :kiss:

P.S.: I removed all ads and all advertising. Not much earnings for last two months. I should have done that before.

Tuesday Readings 06

For the last whole week I was offline and busy in festival activities. So that is another Tuesday with almost no readings. I am just trying to read and complete the blog subscriptions. They are good and readable to keep me updated. But hardly there is something which is worth a mention. I was just about to close this post by writing above excuse till…..

I read this blog for every update. One of the best one’s in my subscription list. This post about What is Signposting is another best. It tells us some very simple ways of signposting which will make conversation easy to follow to the listener. There is not much effort involved and I’ll be practicing it straight away.

The second is a blog which I skip sometimes. Just because as it said in the post it writes much about food. How to write a popular blog post is a post where I thought I’ll get some tips from him. It turned out to be a different one but it’s enjoyable. Now I am looking forward whether the author sticks to his blog or uses “sex and money” to promote.

Just two posts for this week. I’ll try to fill this gap next Tuesday. I’ll make this post popular by tagging it with words “sex and money” :angel: :lol:

Festive Five days

Glad to be blogging again. After being offline for five days here I am with a dose of nonsense. It is amazing that the five days ended very quickly. I woke up yesterday morning just to see that it was the last day of the festival. Gosh!!! It should have been more. All the hard work in preparations, in prayers, in the rituals, in the aarti’s was fun to do. Meetings in join family always rejoiceful.

Yesterday was the immersion day. Rains for the past four days were not in the picture. To our surprise rains god wanted to give us company for the immersion ceremony. The close by river where we immerse the idol was almost flooded within no time. When I went there and saw the speed of water I thought we’ll be having trouble today. Thankfully rain intensity reduced and it was all good in the end. It was 2 o’clock by then.

I came home today and first thing was as usual to be online. A flood of e-mails and messages was waiting for me. And there is still the subscriptions of the blogs which I haven’t finished. It’ll take sometime to complete. I wish I owned a laptop so that I could finish them in my free time at work. It’ll take 2-3 days maybe.

The first thing I noticed was my e-mails where “chromed”. Many e-mails regarding this Google browser which I won’t be using. Secondly due to lack of publicity there was not much response to “Talking Picture 05″. So no results this time. It seems nobody liked the snowman drinking beer. =] I’ll be trying different traffic source from next month and will slow down use of entrecard till the big announcement.

The last five days were great. Chatting with my siblings, uncles, friends, some other relatives really pulled of everything that was on my head. It feels much more relaxed. Now I am ready for routine life. Such breaks in the routines should be made compulsory. Now have to see where my work has reached?? I’ll have to wear a bulletproof jacket tomorrow. :lol:
