The Garbage Within

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport .
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car
jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi
driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other
car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his
head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just
smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really
friendly.

So I asked, “Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined
your car and sent us to the hospital!” This is when my taxi
driver taught me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage
Truck.”

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They
run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of
anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up,
they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on
you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them
well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to
other people at work, at home or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage
trucks take over their day. Life’s too short to wake up in the
morning with regrets, so….. “Love the people who treat you
right.. Pray for the ones who don’t.”

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how
you take it!

These days I’m getting good dose of such stories in my inbox. So I just thought that I’ll put them here and write my point of view. I completely agree with what the driver said and did. But it’s very difficult to apply in real life. It’s difficult but not impossible. A sincere try always works. I’m a cool headed person most of the time. So I already do this. But not all the time. And I’m trying..

Poor People

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yeah,” said the son.
“So, tell me, what you learned from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered:
“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night…
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless.
Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

It all depends on how we look at things. There is always some positive in the negative. We have to find it and realize it. That can make a huge difference in our lives. It takes some effort to do it. But it’s worth.

Everyday I want to fly

Everyday I want to fly stay by my side…
Everyday I want to dream stay by my side…

Every morning I wish I could just play….
Wish the mornings would just stay..

I just loved this lines. This describes my day. I’m a day dreamer. yes you can say that. Dreaming in the day is my need. I cannot afford to dream during night. Hmmmmmmm..

I’ve to sleep at that time. 😀

Unlike common and normal peoples, I don’t like to dream and spoil my sleep. Some dreams can act like sleeping pills. I know that because I’ve done that. There were times when I was unable to sleep. And I dreamed of what I want to be. It’s superhuman and out of the world. I’ll tell you all about that someday. The time has not arrived. And after dreaming about being superhuman, I sleep within 3-4 minutes. So sad that I can be superhuman for a short time.

The lines at the start of the post are not mine. How can I write something great like that. I don’t know who wrote it. But I saw this ad of vodafone where in background music this music was being played. You can get the tone at below link.

Answering Machine Messages

Here are 10 messages you can keep on you answering machine.

10. My wife and I can’t come to the phone right now, but if you’ll leave your name and number, we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re finished.

9. Hello, you are talking to a machine. I am capable of receiving messages. My owners do not need siding, windows or a tub, and their carpets are clean. They give to charity at the office and don’t need their picture taken. If you’re still with me, leave your name and home phone number and they will get back to you.

8. This is not an answering machine – this is a telepathic thought-recording device. After the tone, think about your name, your number, and your reason for calling…. and I’ll think about returning your call.

7. Hi! John’s answering machine is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I’ll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets.

6. Hi! This is John: If you are the phone company, I already sent the money. If you are my parents, please send money. If you are my bank, you didn’t lend me enough money. If you are my friends, you owe me money. If you are a female, don’t worry, I have LOTS of money. Continue reading →

He Listens

Yesterday I posted about how I miss my friends. You won’t believe… But it’s true. One of my old friend came to my house and we had a chat for a long time. It’s been days since I’ve talked this much and freely. Everyday it’s about my work and nothing else.

We shared each others problem. And I feel pretty much relaxed after that. Such incidences always increase my belief in something called GOD. He is great. And I don’t have to tell this special. And so do the friends. Having surrounded by friends is a big big plus.

In my opinion GOD listens to everyone. Just pray by your heart and it comes true. Make sure that there is not the taste of selfishness in that wish. Although I think that every move we make is selfishness. But I’ll keep this out..

Thanks for listening to me…
