Bye Bye 2010

This is the last day of year 2010. So I decided to write and opened the blog editor. I couldn’t go beyond the blank screen. I kept staring and thinking of the best or worst things happened this year. Nothing… The most boring year so far. There were very few moments of excitement but not worth mentioning. As the year closed to an end, I desperately wanted see the new year sun.

This year I was totally brain stuck. No new ideas. No imagination. No crazy dreams. No Nonsense. I feel like this year was empty. Every year fills up my thought basket. I empty that at the year end for the new thoughts. Not this year. It’s already empty.

I hope the new year brings a lot of positive changes in me.
I hope it gives me courage.
I hope it gives me strength.
I hope it gives me the ability to take quick decisions.
And above all it makes me think selfless. You must have figured that out by my previous lines.

Bye Bye 2010.. (Sound of emptying of bucket)

A Better YOU

“Your task… to build a better world,” God said.

I answered, “How?… this world is such a large, vast place, and there’s nothing I can do.”

But God in all His wisdom said, “just build a better you.”

An obvious question to follow this conversation. Have you ever tried to build a better YOU? It’s very easy to teach someone good manners or inject good thoughts, but they are difficult to follow. A drunk man cannot advise anyone to NOT drink. Who will listen to him? Of course there are people who will take this. The reason is that they don’t want to end up as the person in front of them. But these are very rare cases.

You can’t spread joy unless you are happy.
You can’t spread positivity unless you are positive.
You can’t teach to fight unless you have fought first.
In fact, You can’t teach anything unless you know it well.
You can’t build a better human being unless you are one.

The Random Ramblings will continue..
Till then
Think Nonsense…

Life Is Sweet

Time passes very quickly. It’s been a month since I posted. Frankly speaking, I didn’t realize it’s been that long. It just seems yesterday. While skimming through my diary, I found a poem. It’s not by me. I may have found it on some newspaper or magazine. It’s my habit to keep such pieces together in one diary. Credit to the original writer. A message to everyone…

One day I was thinking what is life,
A sweet girl told me love is life,
My friends told me faith is life,
And my mother told me courage is life,
I was puzzled in search of life,
In a dream, an old man appeared,
He said,
“Don’t waste your time adding three or four
Time is less and work is more
Life is a name of mix and naught.
Some things are, valuable and short,
The longest life at death must end.
Your length of days, can’t extend.
So search for ever, never to fail,
If you fall, then don’t recall,
If you are fair in your role,
You will soon achieve your goal.”
He said this and disappeared……..
Now I knew life is sweet.
Which money can never buy.
